“A Fish Named Mac” by Gašper Jemec

1 February 2018

“A Fish Named Mac” by Gašper Jemec will be showing at Q Bank Gallery in Queenstown this Saturday, 3rd February from 2pm.

Jemec is a Slovenian artist whose work is both timeless and unique. The son of a painter and an art historian, he became aware of his own creativity at a precocious age and has devoted his life to cultivating his restless and experimental nature.

“A Fish Named Mac” is the artist’s homage to a fish he caught and ate at Macquarie Harbour; a nod to the still beauty of the timeless landscape and its inspiring nature.

Jemec’s work is both sensual and cerebral, and he blends technology with tradition in order to manipulate texture, colour and light in new and stimulating ways.
