Print of “The Station” by Shawn Lu
A2 print. Beautiful print of a painting Shawn did in 2017 while in residency in Queenstown. Features the main street of Queenstown. Museo Rag Paper.
Shawn Lu’s work explores imagined myths and urban legends perpetuated by the human condition, through contemporary machinery coupled with nineteenth-century medievalism. Old landscapes are inhabited by haunted characters and objects, quietly defying the elements and their uncertain fate. Narratives of a possible dark age are documented through his work. Shawn works out of the Juddy Roller studios in Melbourne, and is the gallery manager of Q Bank Gallery.
